Jane's Guide Here's all the help you need to use Jane.

Reports

NOTE: THIS GUIDE WAS UNPUBLISHED ON MAY 3 2018 BECAUSE IT IS AN OLDER VERSION OF “BILLING REPORTS” AND IS NOT AS THOROUGH. AT THE TIME OF UNPUBLISHING, FOR JAN 2017 - MAY 3 2018, IT RECEIVED 643 UNIQUE HITS (24 FROM IN-APP-SEARCH AND 3 FROM INQUIRY-SUGGESTION). IN COMPARISON, “BILLING REPORTS” RECEIVED 1,754 UNIQUE HITS (288 FROM IN-APP-SEARCH AND 23 FROM INQUIRY SUGGESTION). NOT DELETING THE PAGE AT THIS TIME IN CASE WE WANT THE ANALYTICS, BUT WE MIGHT CONSIDER DELETING OLD PAGES THAT ARE OUT OF DATE.

You can access most reports in the “Billing” Tab:

Summary Report

The Summary Report provides a nice one-page overview.  It breaks down income for products versus treatments, indicates which insurer was used, and shows taxes and payment methods for a time period or by staff member.

Sales Report

The Sales Report shows you everything that was billed for a specified time period. Some of our clinic managers like going over the Sales Report for each practitioner at the end of every day. (Usually any mistakes will really jump out.) You can filter the Sales Report by staff member, date range, purchases and states (unpaid, paid, etc.).

Transaction Report

The other daily report many clinic managers like to run daily is the Transaction Report. This helps you reconcile your POS and cash. You can filter this report by date range, and the report will break down the transactions for you. If your Transaction Report is correct, you’ll know that all the payments taken that day were correctly entered into Jane.
